Entry Level Technical Writer – Work From Home, Training Provided

Roles: We are looking for a beginner-friendly Technical Writer to join our team. In this work-from-home role, you will help create clear, easy-to-follow technical documents that support the safe installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment. No prior experience is required – full training is provided.

What you will do:

• Develop and maintain complete technical documents, following engineering inputs and product release timelines.
• Read engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications to produce accurate, service-ready content.
• Work with engineering, production, and service teams to gather and confirm technical information.
• Apply structured writing principles and reusable content to keep documents consistent and efficient.
• Review your own work for accuracy before peer review, and flag complex issues when needed.
• Coordinate publishing outputs and translation activities.
• Manage your assigned deliverables and deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Suggest practical improvements to documentation, workflows, and usability.

Skills/background needed: A technical certification, diploma, degree, or equivalent learning in technical communication, engineering technology, trades, manufacturing, service, quality, or a related field is helpful. Equivalent combinations of education, training, and practical exposure are welcome. Two to five years of experience in technical documentation or a related area is ideal, though demonstrated capability may be considered in place of years. Exposure to mining, heavy equipment, manufacturing, or service environments is an asset, as is familiarity with documentation and publishing tools. You should be able to interpret drawings and specifications, build product knowledge quickly, and communicate clearly in writing and in person. A quality mindset and a continuous improvement attitude are important.
