Roles: We are looking for a creative writer to join a product merchandising team, summarising movies and TV shows with concise, engaging synopses. This is a full-time contract role, fully remote, starting as soon as possible for a duration of around six months.
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
Contract length: Six months, full time, approximately 40 hours per week.
Skills/background needed: No prior experience required, full training provided. You should have full native proficiency in English and in one of Dutch, Polish or German. Good writing and editing skills, an eye for detail, and an interest in film and TV are helpful. Research skills and the ability to work with a collaborative editing team are a plus.
Responsibilities:
Write synopses about German, Polish and Dutch movies and TV shows in English. Work with a writing strategist to make sure your copy meets the writing brief and the needs of the market. Apply editorial principles to create accurate, inclusive and creative synopses that resonate with different audiences. Tackle a variety of assignments each week, from reality TV to drama series and romantic comedies.
