About the role
We are looking for a beginner-friendly Public Health Writer to join our team. This is a fully remote, work-from-home role with full training provided. No prior experience is necessary. You will support public health communications by writing and editing clear, consumer-focused content for digital channels.
Responsibilities
Write and edit technical, scientific, and consumer-focused content for web pages and other digital channels. Draft letters, standard operating procedures, reports, and internal communications. Copy edit and content edit health-related materials. Follow writing and editing projects through all phases of development, including concept, research, development, reviews, and production. Communicate with team members by email and phone to determine needs and turn them into well-produced products.
Skills/background needed
Strong written English with good spelling and grammar. A meticulous approach to work and an eye for detail. Ability to meet deadlines and work well alone and within a team. Knowledge of plain language and clear communication principles is helpful. Comfort using Google Docs, Microsoft Word, and email. Willingness to learn accessibility and document review standards as part of training.
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
Contract length: Full-time, remote position with opportunities for growth.
