Overview
We are looking for an entry-level Online Writer to join a digital editorial team. This is a part-time, fully remote role where you will help cover an election campaign and the policy issues surrounding it. Full training is provided, so no prior professional experience is required.
Roles:
Write clear text for issue pages and candidate pages. Monitor public statements, campaign materials, policy proposals, and debates, and file ongoing updates. Track relevant international developments as they relate to the campaign. Contribute background material for video, podcast, and other multimedia coverage. Work closely with editors and other team members to keep coverage accurate and current.
Rate: Competitive entry-level rate, details shared upon application.
Contract length: Part-time, roughly 18 hours per week, through the end of the campaign period.
Skills/background needed:
A degree in a related field is helpful but not essential. An interest in current affairs and elections is a plus. Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills. Ability to process information and meet deadlines. Comfort using social media. Beginner-friendly training is provided, so a willingness to learn matters more than a long CV.
