We’re looking for a detail-oriented Customs Entry Writer to join our operations team. This is a full-time, entry-level role perfect for someone eager to build expertise in customs compliance and logistics operations while working in a supportive, fast-paced environment.
About the role
You will manage customs documentation and entry filings for assigned accounts, serving as a point of contact for customers and coordinating with internal teams, carriers, and government agencies. Your work will ensure shipments clear customs on time and in full compliance with regulations. This role offers hands-on experience in customs brokerage operations with structured support as you develop your expertise.
Key responsibilities
• Prepare and submit customs entries and government agency filings in compliance with applicable regulations• Maintain accurate documentation and manage entry files according to service standards• Serve as a primary contact for assigned customers, providing shipment updates and resolving inquiries• Coordinate shipment clearance with freight forwarders, carriers, and other logistics partners to ensure timely release• Track shipments from arrival through final delivery, proactively addressing any delays• Support billing processes, delivery orders, and operational reporting• Collaborate with internal teams to share knowledge and provide coverage during peak periods
Skills/background needed
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy• Basic understanding of import processes and documentation (full training provided)• Solid written and verbal communication skills• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment• High school diploma or equivalent required; further education or relevant work experience is a plus• No prior customs experience required – we provide full training
