We’re looking for an entry-level copy editor to join our editorial team. You’ll work on a variety of writing projects, learning professional editing standards and contributing to quality content from day one. No prior experience required—we provide full training and support.
About the role:
As a copy editor, you’ll:
• Work directly with writers to edit multiple editorial projects each month, including fact-checking research, improving story flow, and polishing final copy
• Edit short- and long-form articles (500–1,000 words) for accuracy, grammar, and style consistency
• Collaborate with the senior editor to improve content quality and editorial processes
• Help maintain and update the in-house style guide as needed
Skills/background needed:
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Excellent written communication and time management skills
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing deadlines
• Willingness to learn professional editing standards and style conventions
• Any prior writing, editing, or communications experience is a plus (including internships, student publications, or college writing centres)
