We’re looking for an entry-level journalist to create compelling stories across multiple platforms. You’ll develop your skills in reporting, writing, photography, and editing while working fully remote.
What you’ll do:
Research and develop story ideas; conduct interviews and build sources within communities; write, shoot, and edit content for web and broadcast; produce live reports on breaking news; use social media and digital tools to research and distribute stories; attend editorial meetings and pitch ideas; write in an engaging, authentic voice.
Skills/background needed:
1-3 years of reporting experience preferred, but we welcome candidates eager to learn. You should have strong writing and communication skills, solid news judgment, and the ability to work under tight deadlines. Experience with social media and digital content creation is helpful. Basic familiarity with video editing software is a plus. You’ll need reliable internet and a quiet workspace for remote work.
