We’re looking for an entry-level content editor to help manage breaking news stories and keep our digital publication current and engaging. You’ll work remotely on nights and weekends, identifying important stories, editing content for clarity and impact, and coordinating with our editorial team to ensure timely publication across all platforms.
What you’ll do:
Identify and develop newsworthy stories; edit and refine content for online publication; coordinate with writers and reporters to meet deadlines; manage content across multiple digital platforms; fact-check and verify information before publishing.
Skills/background needed:
Strong writing and editing skills; ability to work quickly in a fast-paced environment; familiarity with Google Docs and basic content management; attention to detail; willingness to learn newsroom workflows. No prior journalism experience required – full training provided.
