Location: Open to applicants worldwide. This is a fully remote role.
About the role:
You’ll develop and maintain strong relationships between our organisation and local agencies, community stakeholders, and advocacy groups. You’ll work collaboratively to identify challenges, develop solutions, and lead efforts in assigned communities. You’ll partner with other teams to address identified community needs and serve as a bridge between our organisation and the communities we support.
What you’ll do:
Community Relations: Represent the organisation at community meetings and agency committees. Respond to inquiries and concerns from stakeholders, resolve issues, and connect people with the right support. Educate community agencies about our functions, resources, and services. Identify barriers that prevent people from full community participation and recommend solutions to leadership. Work independently to resolve issues and build stronger partnerships.
Collaboration & Support: Help empower community members to identify their own needs and develop local solutions to healthcare gaps. Build strong collaborative relationships among stakeholders and promote effective partnerships that support community engagement and address healthcare disparities.
Leadership Contribution: Participate in team discussions and contribute ideas to improve our services. Share regional feedback and keep the team informed of community issues and needs. Provide input into organisational plans and initiatives in your assigned region.
Skills/background needed:
You should have strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly with people from different backgrounds. Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills are important. You’ll need diplomacy, discretion, and the confidence to make independent decisions. Knowledge of mental health, developmental disability, and substance abuse services is valuable. Public speaking, group facilitation, and advocacy experience is a plus, but not required – we’ll provide training.
You must be well-organised, able to multi-task, and comfortable prioritising multiple responsibilities. Close attention to detail is essential, as you may work with confidential information.
Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in public service administration, psychology, social work, education, health, business administration, or a related human service field. Three years of experience in human services, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Preferred experience includes public speaking, presentation development, group facilitation, advocacy, compliance, or project management – but these are not required for entry-level candidates.
Important note: This role involves access to confidential health information. You’ll receive full training on confidentiality laws and requirements, and you’ll sign a confidentiality agreement as part of the onboarding process.
Physical requirements: Work is primarily computer-based and sedentary. You may occasionally lift items up to 10 pounds. Occasional travel to offices may be required.
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
Contract length: Permanent, full-time.
This is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applications from all backgrounds and experience levels.
