Communications Coordinator – Entry Level Remote

We’re looking for a creative, organized Communications Coordinator to lead content creation and outreach across multiple programs and campaigns. You’ll combine communications strategy with hands-on work: managing social media, designing digital and print materials, creating photos and videos, and helping teams reach their audiences clearly and effectively.

Working alongside staff, leadership, and community partners, you’ll turn program goals and complex information into communications that are clear, engaging, and accessible to diverse audiences.

What you’ll do:

Develop communications strategies and content calendars for multiple programs and deadlines. Create engaging social media content, graphics, educational resources, and short-form videos. Design digital and print materials including flyers, brochures, and presentations using Canva and similar tools. Work with team members and community partners to identify trusted channels for reaching communities. Coordinate translation and culturally responsive review of materials. Track campaign performance and use analytics to improve engagement. Develop stories and content highlighting program impact and community voices.

Skills/background needed:

Strong writing and editing skills. Experience with social media, content creation, or digital communications (or willingness to learn). Comfort using Canva or similar design tools. Basic photography, videography, or video-editing experience helpful. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Commitment to creating inclusive, culturally responsive communications. Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or related field preferred; relevant experience can substitute.
