We’re looking for an entry-level Associate Editor to help lead our newsroom. You’ll create engaging content for print and digital platforms, manage publishing cycles, and build connections with your community through social media and in-person engagement.
What you’ll do:
Create and source compelling content for print and digital channels. Manage online and print publishing schedules. Plan and execute social media posts and audience engagement. Attend community events and build relationships. Help develop newsletters based on reader interests. Follow media ethics and legal guidelines.
Skills/background needed:
Strong writing skills and a portfolio of your work. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good news judgement and attention to detail. Organised, multitasking mindset. Comfortable using computers and technology. A degree in journalism or related field is helpful but not required. No prior experience necessary – full training will be provided.
