We’re hiring an entry-level writer to help create and shape a daily newsletter read by thousands. You’ll research, write, and assemble newsletter content while also pitching and reporting original stories. This is a fully remote role perfect for someone eager to build a journalism career with hands-on daily experience.
What You’ll Do
Write key sections of a daily newsletter, staying on top of news and trends. Assemble and fact-check each day’s issue to ensure accuracy and on-time delivery. Plan and develop weekly newsletter segments. Review analytics to identify growth opportunities. Pitch and report original stories for publication.
What You’ll Need
1–2 years of writing or editorial experience (or equivalent portfolio work). Strong writing and editing skills with a clear, engaging voice. Meticulous attention to detail. Ability to work to daily deadlines. Sound news judgment and curiosity about current events and local issues. Familiarity with your local community is helpful but not required.
The Role
Full-time, fully remote position. You’ll work closely with senior editorial staff to develop content and meet daily publishing deadlines. Training and support provided.
