Roles: We are looking for freelance Assessment Writers and Editors to help create and improve educational test materials. This is a beginner-friendly, fully remote role with full training provided. You will work from home on a flexible schedule, with hours agreed project by project.
Rate: Competitive entry-level rate, details shared upon application.
Contract length: Flexible, project by project.
Skills/background needed: No prior experience is required, as full training is provided. You should be comfortable writing and editing clear, well-structured questions and short passages. A basic understanding of school-level subjects such as reading, math, science, or social studies is helpful. You need to be able to follow simple guidelines, work to deadlines, and give friendly, constructive feedback on draft materials. Prior teaching or publishing experience is a plus but not required.
Responsibilities: Create, review, edit, and revise test questions and short assessments. Follow provided templates and guidelines to make sure materials are well balanced. Work independently and with a supportive team to meet deadlines. Share helpful feedback on drafts and keep materials consistent.
