Roles: Junior Politics Writer
We are looking for a beginner-friendly writer to help cover national politics and the way money and technology shape campaigns, policy, and legislation. This is a fully remote role with full training provided, and no prior professional experience is required.
What you will do:
Write and report short news stories and longer features.
Work with data and public financial filings to support your reporting.
Collaborate with editors and other writers across teams.
Help adapt stories for social media, audio, video, and live formats.
Contribute ideas and pitch stories on your beat.
Skills/background needed:
A clear, engaging, jargon-free writing style.
Curiosity about politics, money, and technology.
Comfort working with data and documents.
Good organization and the ability to manage a changing workload.
Willingness to learn and take feedback.
Rate: Competitive entry-level rate, details shared upon application.
Contract length: Full time, ongoing.
