Roles: Work one on one with elementary students in short, structured writing sessions, building skills from sentences up through paragraphs and longer pieces.
What you will do:
Teach sentence-level writing first, including sentence expansion, sentence combining, and joining words, before moving on to paragraphs and longer compositions. Guide students from planning to drafting and check whether their planning carries into the finished writing. Keep clear session notes on where each lesson stopped and which skills are solid versus still developing. Share honest, specific progress updates with families.
Skills/background needed: No prior experience required. Full training provided. You should be organized, reliable, and enjoy working with children who find writing hard. A background in structured writing instruction or literacy support is a plus, but eagerness to be trained is just as welcome.
What you will receive: Clients matched to you, with scheduling handled for you. No admin work such as invoicing, ratements, or marketing. Access to a library of lesson plans, slides, and assessments. Onboarding into the instructional approach plus ongoing support. Flexible hours.
Contract length: Part time, ongoing independent contractor role.
Rate: Competitive entry-level rate, details shared upon application.
Location: Remote work worldwide (United States preferred)
