Roles: We are looking for freelance writers to create feature stories and short profile pieces for a community-focused magazine and its digital platforms. This is a remote, contract role that is open to beginners and offers full training.
What you’ll do:
Write long-form feature articles and short spotlight profiles
Interview community members, business owners, and local leaders
Research topics and check facts independently
Revise drafts based on editor feedback
Meet deadlines and submit clean final copy
Skills/background needed: No prior experience required. We provide full training. You should have strong writing and grammar skills, be organized and responsive, and feel comfortable working independently. A genuine interest in community storytelling is a plus.
Rate: Competitive entry-level rate, details shared upon application.
Contract length: Project-based, with flexible scheduling.
