We’re looking for aspiring journalists and writers who want a platform to develop their voice, experiment with ideas and get their work published. This is a volunteer opportunity to gain practical journalism experience, build a published portfolio and become part of an independent editorial project.
What you’ll do
As a volunteer journalist, you’ll have the freedom to write about subjects that genuinely interest you. This could include politics, culture, fashion, beauty, arts, lifestyle, opinion, interviews, investigative features, or emerging trends. You may also explore multimedia formats like video content and social media storytelling alongside written work.
There is no fixed publishing quota. You decide the pace and extent of your involvement based on your availability and goals—whether that’s one article per week, monthly, or occasionally.
What you’ll gain
You’ll have your work published, develop your writing and journalism skills, gain practical editorial experience, learn to pitch and research stories, build a portfolio, experiment with different formats, and work alongside other aspiring writers. You’ll take ideas from pitch through to publication.
Who we’re looking for
You do not need professional journalism experience. We’re looking for curious people who have something to say and want to develop skills by making work. You might be a student, graduate, aspiring writer, or someone who has always wanted to get published. What matters most is your interest in journalism and enthusiasm for developing ideas.
