We’re looking for a News Writer to join our team on a temporary, part-time basis. You’ll write news content for digital platforms, social media, and broadcast, covering stories that inform and engage our audience. This is a fully remote role—work from home and collaborate with our editorial team across time zones.
What you’ll do:
• Write and edit news stories for multiple platforms (web, social media, video)
• Respond quickly to breaking news and urgent updates
• Adapt content for digital formats, including short-form video
• Copy-edit stories and verify spelling for graphics
• Collaborate with producers, anchors, and technical teams via email and team chat
• Create content for social media channels and website
• Maintain editorial standards and ethical journalism practices
Skills/background needed:
• Strong writing skills and attention to detail
• Fluent in English; bilingual skills a plus
• Comfortable working with digital publishing tools and social media platforms
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends
• Familiarity with newsroom operations helpful but not required
• No prior experience necessary—we provide full training
