We’re looking for a Data & Visual Editor to join our remote team. You’ll create maps, graphics, and visual storytelling for news stories and feature projects. This is a full-time role where you’ll work with writers, reporters, and designers to bring data and location-based stories to life across web, mobile, and social platforms.
What you’ll do:
Design and produce maps and graphics for breaking news and long-form projects. Adapt visuals for different platforms and formats. Collaborate with editorial teams to find creative ways to present complex information. Explore new tools and techniques for visual storytelling.
Skills/background needed:
Experience creating maps and graphics for news or publishing. Familiarity with geospatial tools and data visualization. A portfolio demonstrating visual journalism work. Strong communication skills and ability to work across teams. Comfortable learning new software and exploring innovative formats. Some newsroom or editorial background is helpful but not required.
