We’re looking for an entry-level Multimedia Journalist to join our newsroom. You’ll identify story ideas, shoot and edit video packages, and deliver compelling reports—no prior experience required. Full training will be provided.
Responsibilities
Gather information and conduct interviews for news stories and live reports. Cover breaking news, weather, and sports across multiple shifts. Shoot, edit, and produce high-quality video packages for broadcast and digital platforms. Collaborate with other reporters on special stories and documentaries. Develop sources and create original story ideas. Deliver live shots and track developing news stories.
Skills/background needed
A passion for storytelling and journalism. Basic experience with video shooting and editing, or willingness to learn. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work under deadline pressure. A portfolio or samples of your work (photos, videos, or writing) is helpful but not required for entry-level candidates. Adaptability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays.
Work format
Fully remote. You’ll work from home and collaborate with the newsroom team via video calls and team communication tools.
