We’re looking for a Multimedia Journalist to join our team on a contract basis. You’ll gather stories, conduct interviews, shoot and edit video content, and share your work across digital platforms. This is a fully remote role where you’ll work independently to research, report, and produce news stories daily.
What you’ll do:
Gather information and conduct interviews for assigned stories; shoot, edit, and produce video content; post stories, video, and images to websites and social media; maintain awareness of current news and events; build and maintain community contacts; work independently in the field under various conditions; assist with content formatting and digital uploads.
Skills/background needed:
1 year of newsroom or journalism experience (or equivalent education and experience); fluency in English and Spanish, with strong written and spoken skills in both; ability to use newsroom software and computer systems; knowledge of field cameras and video editing software; ability to meet tight deadlines and work independently; valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 30 pounds for extended periods; currently authorised to work.
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
