We’re looking for an entry-level copy editor to join our digital content team as a fully remote position. You’ll work from home editing news content, writing headlines, and helping to shape how stories reach audiences online.
What you’ll do:
Edit news content for digital and social platforms; write clear, engaging headlines; fact-check and review content for accuracy; package stories with images and multimedia; monitor and update website content; provide feedback to help other writers improve; and assist with digital best practices across the team.
Skills/background needed:
Strong writing and editing skills; attention to detail; familiarity with news writing style guides; experience or knowledge of web and social media platforms; ability to work quickly and manage multiple tasks; and a collaborative, team-focused attitude. A degree in journalism or equivalent experience is preferred, but training will be provided. No prior copy editing experience is required—we’ll teach you what you need to know.
Contract length: Full time, permanent
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
