About the Role

You’ll build social media presence from the ground up for a growing brand. This is a rare opportunity to own the complete picture: strategy, content creation, community engagement, and results. You’ll have real influence over brand direction and work closely with leadership — no corporate bureaucracy, just direct impact.

Within your first year, you’ll establish an engaged following across 2–3 platforms, build a consistent content voice, drive real traffic to the shop, and prove what content actually converts to sales.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and own content strategy across core social platforms
• Post daily or regularly, building a consistent brand voice and presence
• Create short-form content using your phone: photos, videos, captions
• Build and maintain a content calendar tied to product launches and community events
• Engage authentically with the community: reply to comments, share others’ work, build relationships
• Monitor analytics and use them to guide decisions: what to post more of, where to focus effort, what converts
• Support marketing for live events (pre-event hype, announcements, follow-up)
• Work independently — this is your function to own end to end

Skills and Background Needed

Required:
• 1+ years of social media experience (brand, business, or community account — personal projects count if you can show results)
• Ability to create short-form content: phone photography, basic video editing, caption writing
• Able to read and act on platform analytics
• Self-directed; comfortable owning a function independently
• Genuine enthusiasm and familiarity with the relevant online communities and platforms where your audience lives

Nice to Have:
• Experience marketing handmade or artist products
• Live event or marketplace experience
• Basic graphic design using Canva or similar tools
• Email marketing experience
• Experience running small paid social campaigns

Why Apply

• Work entirely from home on a flexible schedule that fits around an agreed posting plan
• Have real input on brand strategy and direction from day one
• Build a portfolio of work that shows measurable, real-world results
• Join a small, maker-owned business with zero corporate layers — your ideas matter
• Employee discount on products
• Full training provided to bring you up to speed on platforms, tools, and strategy

What We’re Looking For

You’re self-directed, genuinely interested in the communities you’ll be reaching, and excited about building something from the ground up. You understand that social media success isn’t about vanity metrics — it’s about engagement, community, and conversion. You’re comfortable with analytics, adaptable to platform changes, and ready to learn.

No prior experience with this specific brand or industry is required — enthusiasm, initiative, and a track record of work you’re proud of matter far more than a perfect CV.
