About The Role:

We are looking for a Technical Writer/Editor to research, write, edit, and proofread technical documentation such as manuals, procedures, and specifications. In this role, you will ensure that technical documents are accurate, complete, and meet editorial standards while adhering to requirements for quality, graphics, coverage, format, and style.

What You’ll Do:

• Research, write, edit, and proofread technical data for documents such as manuals, procedures, and specifications

• Ensure technical documentation is accurate, complete, and meets all editorial and quality standards

• Develop clear, well-organized documentation that is easy to follow and meets all applicable standards and style guides

• Work with graphics, charts, and diagrams to include in documentation

• Edit and review drafts for clarity, format, and adherence to standards

• Manage document workflows and maintain records of document movement

• Communicate any challenges or issues to leadership promptly

• Collaborate with technical writers, team members, and clients

• Perform administrative tasks as needed

Skills/Background Needed:

• Strong knowledge of English grammar, spelling, capitalization, and punctuation

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

• Ability to create and update tables, work with graphics and drawings, and format documents

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to review and provide constructive feedback on writing

• Excellent attention to detail

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice To Have:

• Experience with technical writing or editing

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university

• Familiarity with government documentation standards

• Experience working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
